Colony High School is hosting the State Preview Classic boys basketball showcase Saturday, Jan. 21.
The event is organized annually by Colony coach Jerry De Fabiis and Rolling Hills Prep coach Harvey Kitani.
This year’s State Preview Classic will feature four teams included in the Top 20 of this week’s Calhisports.com state rankings. Of the 16 teams participating at this year’s showcase, seven still are on the CIF Southern Section’s Open Division watchlist.
The action starts at 9 a.m., with Rolling Hills Prep squaring off against Los Altos. That game will be followed by Long Beach Poly vs. St. Anthony (10:30 a.m.), Fairfax vs. St. Francis (noon), Hillcrest vs. St. Francis (1:30 p.m.), Mater Dei vs. Crean Lutheran (3 p.m.), Colony vs. Village Christian (4:30 p.m.), Sherman Oaks Notre Dame vs. San Ramon Dougherty Valley (6 p.m.), Harvard-Westlake vs. Rancho Verde (7:30 p.m.) and Riverside Poly vs. Anaheim Canyon (9 p.m.).
Tickets for the event are $15.
