MIAMI — The Dodgers scratched right-hander Tony Gonsolin from his scheduled start Monday and placed him on the Injured List with a forearm strain.
Gonsolin is a leading Cy Young Award candidate in the National League with a 16-1 record and NL-leading 2.10 ERA through 23 starts. But his 128 1/3 innings are the most he has ever thrown in a season.
Right-hander Michael Grove was promoted from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start in Gonsolin’s place against the Miami Marlins Monday. Grove, 25, made his major-league debut with the Dodgers this season, posting a 5.79 ERA in two games (one start).
