A firefighter was injured battling a blaze that burned a two-story home in Eastvale on Sunday.
Rob Roseen, a spokesman for the Riverside County Fire Department, said the firefighter collapsed because of the heat, was taken to the hospital and is doing okay.
Fire crews responded to the call at about 12:45 p.m. in the 7400 block of Cobble Creek Drive, according to the fire department.
Heavy smoke and flames were reported from the single-family home but the fire was contained by 4:30 p.m.
Crews from Southern California Edison and SoCalGas, along with Riverside County sheriff’s deputies, also responded to the fire.
