The Five Winds Country Music Festival is set for Friday and Saturday, June 24 and 25, at the city’s in-the-works Five Winds Ranch at the park.
Friday’s entertainment includes Daniel Bonte & the Bonafide, JT Harker, JD Priest, and headliner Frankie Ballard. The site opens at 3 p.m. Friday, while events start at 5 p.m.
“Frankie has three No. 1 singles on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart including ‘Young & Crazy,’ ‘Helluva Life,’ and ‘Sunshine & Whiskey,’” according to the city. “His album, ‘El Rio,’ was named one of 2016’s best albums by Rolling Stone & Nashville’s The Tennessean and reached Top 10 on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart.”
Saturday’s entertainment includes Austin Law, Scotty Mac Band, Honey County, Westward Sons, and headliner Granger Smith featuring Earl Dibbles Jr. The site opens at 1 p.m. Saturday, while events start at 3 p.m. that day.
Granger rose to fame with his single, “Backroad Song,” according an email from city staff. “Granger was also awarded a BMI Country Award for writing, producing, publishing and performing ‘Backroad Song’ and followed it with the Top Five hit, ‘If The Boot Fits.’”
Friday tickets are $59, Saturday tickets are $69, two-day tickets are $110, two-day camping is $200, and parking is $20 standard and $40 preferred.
The festival also includes food, vendors and activities such as axe throwing, line dancing and mechanical bull riding.
