Brazilian barbecue has come to the food court at Ontario Mills.
La Vaca Brazilian Grill has opened in a space previously occupied by Stone Oven on the north side of the massive mall.
The regional chain also has locations in the Glendale Galleria, Westfield Century City and Westfield Topanga. It is a buffet that sells churrasco, or barbecued meat, salads and hot sides by the pound.
Prices are $8.65 a pound for salad or sides only, $11.85 a pound for salads, sides and churrasco, and $16.95 a pound for churrasco only. Meat is carved to order. Otherwise, diners fill their own plates, which are weighed at the cash register.
Selections include top sirloin, garlic beef, Brazilian sausage, garlic chicken and chicken with bacon. Sides include cheese bread, potato wedges and fried plantain.
