MGR Real Estate has acquired Ontario Airport Tower, a six-story office building in Ontario, for $39 million, according to Newmark.
Newmark represented the unidentified property seller.
“Ontario Towers is arguably one of the best office buildings in the submarket and has consistently outperformed the rest of the submarket,” said Kevin Shannon, Newmark co-head of U.S. Capital Markets.
The 147,732-square-foot property built in 2008 at 2855 East Guasti Road was 89% leased at the time of sale.
Juice, smoothie shop debuts in Highland
Inland Empire, Juice It Up! has opened its first location at the Highland Village Plaza in Highland.
Husband-and-wife duo and first-time franchisees Louis and Latress Anderson are the franchise owners.

“As we open our first location in a community that is near and dear to us, we believe Highland locals will appreciate the innovative, tasty smoothies, bowls and juices as much as we do,” said Latress Anderson.
The Highland store is at 7197 Boulder Ave, Suite 11, and can be reached at 909-907-5165. It’s open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.

Excel Scientific’s building sells for $6M in Victorville
A 27,708-square-foot building, home to Excel Scientific at Southern California Logistics Airport in Victorville, has sold for $6 million, according to Lee & Associates Inland Empire North.
The building at 18350 George Blvd. was originally home to the communications center of the former George Air Force Base (now SCLA) and has been Excel’s base since 1992. The company is a biotech supplier for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life science industries.
The campus includes clean rooms and inventory systems.
The seller was Vertical Peak Holdings. The buyer, Sanger Properties, was represented by Allen C. Buchanan of Lee & Associates in Orange.
SCLA is located in the northwest corner of Victorville.
$2M awarded to Cal State SB’s new physician assistant program
Cal State San Bernadino’s developing Master of Science in Physician Assistant program has landed $2 million in federal funding.
The program, which has applied for accreditation review, is slated to enroll its first class of 40 students in August 2025.
The federal money, which has been designated to help buy teaching and laboratory equipment for the program, was aided by U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla, D-California, and California Rep. Pete Aguilar, D-San Bernardino.
“This is great news that will not only help fund our MSPA program, but also shows the strong support of the federal government,” said CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales.

Black Culture Foundation’s Black Rose Awards is Feb. 4
The San Bernardino Black Culture Foundation’s 30th Black Rose Awards Banquet will be held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at Cal State San Bernardino’s Santos Manuel Student Union.
Winners will receive their awards at the annual gala, which is being held in honor of Rosa Parks’ birthday, according to Black Rose Committee Co-Chair Jim King.
The honorees are Linda Wright, Gloria Macias Harrison, Deborah Robertson, June Collison, Roz Nolan and Ruby Skinner.

Newsom appoints several Superior Court judges
Rasheed Alexander, 59, of Riverside County, has been appointed judge in the San Bernardino County Superior Court. He has served as assistant public defender at the San Bernardino County Public Defender’s Office since 2021. Alexander also served as a deputy public defender at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office from 2001 to 2006. He replaces fills Judge Ronald M. Christianson, who retired. Alexander is a Democrat.
Jeffrey Erickson, 61, of San Bernardino County, has been appointed to the San Bernardino County Superior Court. He has been a partner at Raynes Erickson since 2012. He replaces Judge Christopher B. Marshall, who retired. Erickson is registered without a party preference.
Marie Moreno Myers, 63, of San Bernardino County, has been appointed to serve as a judge in the San Bernardino County Superior Court. She has been a sole practitioner since 2010. She replaces Judge David A. Williams, who retired. Moreno Myers is a Democrat.
Stephanie Tanada, 41, of San Bernardino County, has been appointed to serve as a judge in the San Bernardino County Superior Court. She has served as a research attorney for the Orange County Superior Court since 2022. She replaces Judge Stanford E. Reichert, who also retired. Tanada is a Democrat.
