In the message, Francis said he “joins the entire community in commending the souls of those who died to almighty God’s loving memory,” and “implores the divine gifts of healing and consolation upon the injured and bereaved.”
The Pope then sent a blessing “as a pledge of strength and peace in the Lord.”
Gomez said he was “grateful and touched by this beautiful expression of our Holy Father’s pastoral concern,” and urged more prayer for those lost, the wounded, and the grieving.
