Human remains believed to be that of a Hemet man who went missing last year have been found, and a suspect was charged in his death, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said Thursday, Aug. 4.
Joshua Crosier, 27, was reported missing by his family on Sept. 20, 2021, after they didn’t hear from him for about a month, sheriff’s officials said in a news release. In April, investigators learned something that led them to believe Crosier was killed, and they began a “no-body homicide” investigation.
Ricardo Pardo of Perris was arrested on July 28. On Monday, Aug. 1, the 39-year-old man was charged with first-degree murder by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.
On Aug. 2, remains thought to be Crosier’s were found in an unincorporated area of Perris after multiple locations were searched, sheriff’s officials said.
No possible motive in the case was disclosed.
