A 23-year-old Riverside man was arrested in connection with the June fatal shooting of a man in Riverside, police said Monday, July 18.
Joshua Jesse Duran was arrested last week in Riverside near Alessandro Boulevard and Mission Grove Parkway on suspicion of the killing of 33-year-old Bryan Davis of Riverside in the 8500 block of Hickory Lane, the Riverside Police Department said in a news release. Duran was arrested on suspicion of murder, weapons violations and parole violation and is being held without bail, police said.
Davis was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at 3:32 p.m. on June 21 and died from his injuries at the scene. Davis was approached by two men who got out of a car and during their interaction one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and shot Davis, then fled the scene, police said.
Police said the investigation remained ongoing, however, it wasn’t immediately clear if a second suspect was still being sought.
It wasn’t immediately clear what the motive in the shooting was.
