A 41-year-old youth basketball coach accused of sexually abusing one of his players was out on bail Sunday, June 19.
Jamien Nicholas Lovell Jackson was arrested on Thursday, June 16, by officers with the Riverside Police Department.
Police allege that Jackson sexually abused a girl while he was coaching her traveling basketball team in 2021.
He was booked into Riverside County jail on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts on a minor, child annoyance and sending harmful matter to a minor.
He has since been released on $55,000 bail, according to police.
Investigators said Jackson has been involved with girl’s youth basketball and the sports photography business in the Inland Empire for several years.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Jackson had a lawyer representing him.
