Two suspects have been arrested in the shooting death of a 27-year-old Perris resident Saturday, Dec. 24, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department officials said Monday, Dec. 26.
Deputies responding to a late night-report of a shooting Saturday at a residence in the 300 block of West 7th Street in Perris found Rafael Morales suffering from a gunshot wound.
Morales was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators identified Hemet residents Miguel Villegas, 30, and Andrik Avalos-Villasenor, 20, as suspects. The two were arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of homicide.
Further information on the circumstances was not immediately released. The investigation was ongoing.
