A woman was shot and killed in Riverside Friday night, Jan. 13, and investigators detained multiple people for questioning, but it wasn’t clear if anyone was arrested as of Saturday morning, authorities said.
Officers were called to a house in the 3100 block of First Street, just east of the 91 Freeway, and were directed to the woman who was found with a gunshot wound to the head area, Riverside Officer Ryan Railsback said.
The woman died at a hospital.
The shooting occurred at the house, Railsback said, but it wasn’t known if it occurred inside or outside.
Investigators believe the woman and those detained knew each other, Railsback said. Police did not believe there were any outstanding suspects.
